Cheryl Spencer

Corporate Liaison

About Me:

I have been in the motor industry for over 30 years working in various parts of the trade. I am passionate about motorsport which has led to me  being an amateur rally driver in 2008 and entering my first rally in Barbados. Since 2008 my rallying has continued in barbados and in the UK.
My achievements in the sport have resulted in me becoming a member of the British Women's Racing Drivers Club which is a great honour for me .

I am married to Barry my wonderful husband of 10 years and the incredible part is he not only navigates but still manages to put up with me!

Why am I participating in ‘Rally for Heroes’ 2018?

We first found out about the amazing charity in 2015 when we showed our car at the Wings and Wheels event, in looking into this more I realised the work they did and how we could help. We completed our first RFH in 2016 and have been fully supportive and proud to be a member of the RFH family helping to carry out great work since then.

In my role outside of the charity I am involved still in the motor industry which has resulted in some superb support and sponsorship from Harwoods for the support vehicles for 2018 and Deranged as the main event sponsor so it's an honour to be asked to be Corporate Liaison.

My Car:  Subaru Impreza P1

It's a limited edition No14 of the first 500 the car was the display model at the Earl's Court motor show in 2000. Tuned and prepared by world rally team Prodrive and in the words of the legend Colin McRae “ if in doubt flat out “
