Richard 'Richy' Webb

About Me:

I was roped in initially by Simon ‘Pinky’ Warner as his co-driver in 2012, I took a more active role on the 2014 event and became a fully-fledged Event Management Team member prior to the 2016 rally, being responsible for holding and distributing all of the merchandise, a role I am pleased to continue up to and beyond the 2018 event. I am only a phone call or an email away if you require event merchandise.

I am married to Maddy and have 2 daughters, Sarah and Rebecca, who both seem to have an in-built liking for anything automotive, no idea where that comes from!

Day to day I am the MD of a family owned pest control company in the Midlands, which keeps me out of mischief, normally!

Why am I participating in ‘Rally for Heroes’ 2018?

I have the utmost respect for all of our service personnel and the work that SSAFA does to help those that require their services, and after seeing a SSAFA facility know that all the money raised by the event goes to an extremely worthy cause.

My Car: Vauxhall Insignia

Currently I only have a boring car (Diesel Vauxhall Insignia – don’t all laugh at once)which serves it purpose admirably, and a Kawasaki ZZR1100 when things need spicing up a little. I previously had a Focus ST and a Range Rover which were both fun and extremely practical but I think I single handedly kept the economy afloat with the amount of fuel I kept feeding to them.
