Team Lima

Following the success of previous Rally for Heroes, we are taking part in Rally for Heroes 2018, again raising money for SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association). This 10 day rally covers 10 countries and around 3,000 miles across some of the most challenging roads on offer!

SSAFA is one of the oldest (but possibly least well known) Forces charities who provide a lifetime of help and support for ANY servicemen and women (regardless of how long they have served) and to their famiies, and also to the families of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice serving their country.

Having both had family and friends in the Armed Forces, hearing their stories and witnessing the devastating effects serving in the Armed Forces can have on the individuals concerned and their families, we feel that this a very worthwhile charity and we pledge to do all we can to add to the overall target of £100,000 for the whole Rally for Heroes 2018 event.

To put into perspective the length of the rally, by driving around 3,000 miles we, along with 49 other cars, will be driving a minimum of 5 miles for every serviceman or woman who lost their life during the conflict in Afghanistan.

We are all personally funding the whole cost of our entry into this event, meaning every penny of your donation is passed directly to SSAFA. Thank you for your support.

I first did the rally in 2016 having been introduced to it by my brother Luke Kemp.

As a family we suffered tragedy losing our nephew in the Afghanistan Conflict.

Ever since then Luke and myself wanted to get involved in raising awareness and helping those affected.

I will be doing the rally with my son (13) a complete Petrol head and daughter (17) my son will be 14 when we go on the rally.

Very much looking forward to my second rally with great people but this time with my own car so interesting time with  co-driver.

My name is Tony and my daughter Katy is going to be my co-driver.

We currently live in Kent with my wife & the life and sole of the household, “Bumble”, a  nine stone G.S.D.

Katy has raised funds before for the services and I have supported her with this as well.

So with that in mind it had to be something to do with the servicemen and women that have given so much to us all and still do.

Driving is my thing and Rally for Heroes is going to be the ultimate driving experience, along with helping to raise money for a Great Cause.
